Created as a special purpose district in 1958 by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, Taylors Fire Rescue serves a large area, about 16.09 sq. miles, that includes a combination of industrial, business, church, school and residential development.
The Primary Mission of the Taylors Fire Department is to provide a Range of Programs Designed to Protect the Lives and Property of the Inhabitants of the Taylors Fire District from the Adverse Effects of Fires, Sudden Medical Emergencies or Exposure to Dangerous Conditions Created by Man or Nature.

In compliance with the provisions of chapter 30-4-10 of the S.C. Code of Laws 1976, as amended, public notice is hereby given of the following regular bi-monthly meetings for the Board of Commissioners at Taylors Fire and Sewer District to be held at Station #81 Headquarters in the Training Room, 463 W. Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687 at 4:30 pm.

Agendas for regularly scheduled meetings will be posted at Station #81 Headquarters, on our website, Facebook and X. Notice of any called, special, or rescheduled meetings will be posted as early as practical, but not later than twenty-four hours prior.
NOTE: Dates and locations may be changed at the discretion of the Chairman.
Any person or entity wishing to be heard upon any matter at a regular or special meeting of the Commission shall, at least one (1) day prior to the date set for the meeting, make his or its request known in writing to the Chairman of the Commission. The Chairman shall determine if the request may be honored, and further, the Chairman shall have the ability to stop anyone addressing the Commission if the person speaking to the Commission goes outside the bounds of decency or decorum.

Presentations shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person or entity, although this time limit may be increased upon request. Following any presentation from anyone addressing the Commission, no person other than a member of the Commission will be recognized to question the speaker or make any other statement.
The Chairman, in his/her discretion, may waive the one-day notice requirement if he/she feels such a waiver is warranted. Revised 07/09/13ย
